Kartavya Path, the two-kilometre stretch from India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi, formerly known as Rajpath, was inaugurated by prime minister Narendra Modi on September 8, 2022. The decision to rename Rajpath was made after a meeting of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
