Zeenext Bureau Bangalore/Chennai, Aug 28: Tamil Nadu Liberation Army member ‘Radio Venkateshan’ who is likely to be freed as demanded by brigand Veerappan, admitted on Monday that TNLA cadres are trained by the LTTE.
Speaking to reporters after being produced in the court on Monday, he said: “We have accepted training by LTTE. Veerappan gave us the foothold. I am ready to go with Gopal to the forest now and join Veerappan. We will fight for the cause of Tamils with full vigour now.” Expressing confidence that the Tamil Nadu government would withdraw all the charges against him, he said he hoped to be released unconditionally. Release of five prisoners including Venkateshan, is one of the major demands of Veerappan in return for freeing abducted film star Rajkumar and three others whom he has been holding hostage since July 30.
