Zeenext Bureau Mumbai, Aug 30: Richard Clayderman is a pianist who has become an international musical phenomenon. He performs for about six months every year, selling millions of albums on his way. He has to his credit over 300 gold and platinum records and was once dubbed by former First Lady Nancy Reagan as the 'Prince of Romance' because of his evocative and distinctive sound. It is said that his hands are insured for a cool £1 million. The international musician will now treat Indian audiences to his great performances during his ‘The Journey of Romance to India’ tour. Accompanied by his full orchestra, Clayderman will play in Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi between September 3 and 6. The concert tour is sponsored by BPL Limited and is promoted and produced by DNA Networks, the event management agency that had earlier organized the Bryan Adams, Ricky Martin, Yanni, Samantha Fox, Savage Garden, Vengaboys, Boyzone, No Doubt and Europe concerts. The first concert will be held at the Sophia Bhabha Hall in Mumbai on September 3 and 4. Bangalore’s treat to Richard Clayderman will on September 6 at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall, whilst the capital is the last halt on Clayderman’s itinerary.
