Two killed, six injured in SAIL`s ISCO fire accident
Two contract labourers were killed and six others seriously injured when molten iron accidentally fell on them at the Burnpur IISCO Steel Plant in West Bengal`s Burdwan district on Saturday.
Burnpur: Two contract labourers were killed and six others seriously injured when molten iron accidentally fell on them at the Burnpur IISCO Steel Plant in West Bengal`s Burdwan district on Saturday.
While two workers died on the spot, the injured were admitted to two hospitals.
The Indian Iron and Steel Company (IISCO), a Steel Authority of India Ltd.
(SAIL) subsidiary, was amalgamated with the latter on February 16, 2006 and renamed IISCO Steel Plant (ISP). This full-fledged integrated steel plant is one of India`s oldest.
