Hyderabad: A Pune-bound flight of Alliance Air – a subsidiary airlines of Air India - was attacked by a swarm of bees causing a delay by an hour.

According to ANI, the Alliance Air Flight 9I-867 from Hyderabad to Pune was swarmed by bees when it was stationed at the airport last week.


The incident took place when the flight was gearing up for its scheduled take off.


As per a statement by Air India, 65-passenger flight was scheduled to take off at 6.35 pm that got delayed by an hour due to the bee-attack. 


“Safety is always our priority,” Air India spokesperson Dhananjay Kumar told ANI. 


“So the pilot ensured all precautionary steps were taken before taking off.”
