Addressing a public meeting at Milad Gound Jalal Bagh Sangareddy constituency in Medak district, the Hyderabad lawmaker said, “This is not Mahakutumbi (alliance of Congress-TDP and others), this is 2018’s East India Company.”

Further explaining, Owaisi says, “I’ll tell you why. Telangana was formed. Now will decisions of Telangana be made by Naidu who sits in Vijayawada? By Nagpur based RSS ? By Congress in Delhi?”

Last week, the TDP joined hands with Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019. Andhra Pradesh chief minister and chief Chandrababu Naidu has been in talks with leaders of non-BJP parties to put up a united fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party.

At the time, Owaisi attacked Naidu accusing him of supporting the 2002 Gujarat riots. He further claimed that there were several communal riots in AP during Naidu's tenure as CM.

“@ncbn supported BJP when Gujrat Pogrom happened in 2002,was part of @PMOIndia cabinet while Akhlaq, pahlu khan, Rohit, JUNAID, Aleemuddin where murdered, during his tenure as CM erstwhile AP many communal riots happened, AZIZ & AZAM killed in encounter NOW Saviour of Secularism WAH,” tweeted the Hyderabad MP.
