The automaker has begun accepting bookings for the locally manufactured XF from today and you can book the sedan from Jaguar Land Rover’s 24 authorised retail outlets or through its online portal – www.findmeacar.in – which was introduced just after the launch of the all-new XF last year.

Rohit Suri, managing director and president, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said: “Since its introduction in 2009, Jaguar XF has gained immense popularity and success in the country. The introduction of the all-new Jaguar XF into our locally manufactured portfolio reiterates our commitment to the Indian market.”

Mechanically, the Jaguar XF comes with a choice of a petrol and a diesel engine. The 2.0-litre all-aluminium diesel from Jaguar's new 'Ingenium' series of engines produces 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol, on the other hand, puts out 240PS of power and 340Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic. The XE competes with sedans such as the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E Class and the Volvo S90.
