Amrapali Dubey turns singer, releases her first `Chhath Puja` song-Check inside
Chhath Puja is one of the major festivals in the country, predominantly celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and in parts of Nepal.
New Delhi: One of the topmost Bhojpuri actresses Amrapali Dubey enjoys a massive fan following. She is quite popular among Bhojpuri cinema buffs and has now lent her voice to a devotional track for Chhath Puja festival.
It is that time of the year when devotees pray to the Sun god and his consort in order to seek their blessings. Chhath Puja holds greater significance in North India where it is one of the major festivals.
Amrapali has sung her first Chhath song and took to Instagram to share the news with her fans. She wrote in the caption: “Coming soon I tried singing Chhath puja song for the 1st time yeh bohot hi manyata wala parv hai aur iss baar Chhathh puja ke uplaksh par main Suraj Devta aur Chhathhi Maiyya se yehi kaamna karti hun ki aap sab log khush rahein, swasth rahein aur Chhathhi Maiyya ki kripa aap sab par hamesha bani rahe #JaiChhathhiMaiyya.”
Several Bhojpuri stars release their devotional tracks during festivals such as Navratri, Kanwar and Chhath Puja. Another superstar from the industry, Khesari Lal Yadav too has sung hit Chhath Puja songs.
Chhath Puja is one of the major festivals in the country, predominantly celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and in parts of Nepal. The festival is dedicated to the Sun God (Surya Dev) and Goddess Usha (Chhathi Maiya), seeking bounties of life on earth from them and requesting the granting of certain wishes. Also, devotees thank the god and goddess for their blessings.
It is a four-day long festivity and this year, Chhath Puja celebrations will begin from November 11 to 14.
