New Delhi: Senior Janata Dal (United) leader Sharad Yadav, who has remained tight-lipped on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's decision to snap ties with the mahagathbandhan and aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Thursday met Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in the national capital.

Yadav's meeting with the Congress leader comes amid reports that the JD(U) leader was unhappy with Nitish Kumar breaking ties with the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress and forming the government in alliance with the BJP.

Interestingly, Sharad Yadav was missing at the swearing-in ceremony event, when Nitish Kumar was administered the oath of Office by the Bihar Governor.

Yadav also criticised the BJP-led Central government today morning, giving enough hint that he was unhappy with the JD(U)-BJP tie-up.

“Fasal Bima Yojana is big failure as farmers are not aware about insurers but premium deducted from their loans, benefit goes to only insurers,” he tweeted.

“Amongst others Fasal Bima Yojana is another unsuccessful scheme of d Govt through which only private insurance companies being benefitted,” his another tweet read.

Nitish Kumar on Thursday took oath as Bihar Chief Minister at the head of a JD-U-BJP government, within hours of dumping the Grand Alliance.

This is the JD (U) president's second innings in the last two years. He snapped ties late on Wednesday with Grand Alliance partners Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress over corruption charges against RJD leader and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
