Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has “ditched us” by deciding to side with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), RJD chief Lalu Yadav said on Saturday.

He blamed Nitish for the collapse of the Grand Alliance and said the graft allegation against him and his son Tejaswi are baseless.


“Who is corrupt? No body in the family is involved in corrupt practice,” he equipped when asked about the allegations against his family.


The RJD leader said Nitish has made a huge blunder by joining hands with BJP, likening the saffron party to a huge alligator gulping down its prey.


He also defended his party's decision to remain a Congress ally, saying that the party has made huge contributions in the country's freedom struggle.


He said Nitish has fallen into the trap laid by the divisive politics of the BJP.


“Won't be cowed down by such tactics. I will finally be a winner. We will join hands with like minded parties to defeat the divisive forces,” he told Zee News.
