Five militants were among six people killed and three injured in separate militancy-related incidents in Rajouri, Poonch and Doda districts of Jammu division since on Saturday, official sources said in Jammu on Sunday. They said that a group of militants opened fire on a army patrol at Ojhan village in Rajouri district on Saturday. Troops retaliated in self defence killing three Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, including self exiled area commander of Rajouri area. The slain militants have been identified as Abu Sodab, Sanger and Abu Hamzala, the sources said, adding that troops seized three ak-56 rifles and 9 handgrenades among others from them. In another incident, troops killed one LeT militant when ultras fired on an army column near Pokhra in Poonch district on Saturday evening. Army troops also shot dead one militant of Al-badar outfit in a retaliatory action in Noushera sector, the sources said, adding that he has been identified as Nishat Ahmed of Jhelum district of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Meanwhile, reports from Doda district said that militants hurled a grenade on a patrolling party of Special Police Officers (SPOs) in Banihal tehsil injuring three of them. One SPO Bashir Ahmed was also abducted by militants from his house in Chamalwal village of Doda district on Saturday. Police recovered the body of a woman from Gratnat-Bhatta village in Doda on Saturday. The woman was abducted by militants alongwith her husband from the village on January 3, sources said, adding that her husband is still missing. Bureau Report
