The pilot of a Mig-21 Indian Air Force plane was killed when the fighter aircraft crashed near village Sarnu on Monday night, police said in Jaipur on Tuesday. The plane had taken off from Uttarlai Airforce Station on a regular sortie along with another plane.
It reportedly exploded in the air near the village, about 41 km from Barmer in Rajasthan, and its burning debris fell in about a kilometre area near Achlanion Ki Dhani, police said. However, no one was hurt on the ground, police added. Bureau Report
