In a major administrative reshuffle the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 43 IAS and 10 IPS officers, as informed by an official spokesman, on Tuesday.
“The government shifted as many as 15 Principal Secretaries and over two dozen secretaries besides five Superintendents of Police late Monday night,” he said. Prominent among those shifted included Principal Secretary (Medical) Naresh Dayal, who has now become Principal Secretary (Home), replacing Hemendra Narain, who has been moved to the Centre . Principal Secretary (horticulture) Rai Singh, becomes the chairman, Administrative Reforms while Principal Secretary (Programme Implementation) Chandrapal becomes Principal Secretary (Revenue).
Among the IPS officers transferred are, B P Jagdand, who becomes SP Police Headquarters, Allahabad and Mahendra Modi, who has been made SP (Intelligence), Lucknow. Bureau Report
