Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has announced a series of agitational programmes against "CPI(M) sponsored political violence" in West Bengal and slammed the ruling Left Front government for trying to hush up the alleged carnage at Choto Angra village of Midnapore district. Bannerjee who was addressing a party meeting here lambasted the ruling Left Front for 'unleashing a reign of terror' in the state but said her party would not resort to violence during the agitational programmes even in face of "severe provocation" from CPI(M). "Trinamool Congress does not believe in violence. We may have political differences, but we don't go about killing our political opponents," she said. Banerjee, who did not climb the dais because of her recent leg injury following an attack allegedly by CPI(M) at Keshpur, said the party would take out protest processions from various points of the city and stage a fast at the Gandhi's statue, located in the heart of the city, on January nine. Banerjee said TC workers would "gherao" police stations across the state on January nine in protest against the alleged Choto Angra massacre.
