There were reports suggesting that Deepika twirled about 66 times wearing the heavy costume.

And you will be amazed to know how much the lehenga costs. Well, designed by Rimple & Harpreet Narula, the attire costs about Rs 30 Lakhs, a Pinkvilla report suggests.

Incredible isn’t?

Narrating her experience while shooting for the song, Deepika tweeted: “The 'Ghoomar' song has to be one of the most difficult yet most fulfilling song sequences I have ever shot for! (sic).”

The actress who essays the role of Rani Padmini in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial has left audience spellbound by performing the tradition dance form like a pro.

“It has been one of the most difficult song sequences that Sanjay sir and I have shot for. The shooting of the film began with this song and I will never forget that day. I remember approaching my mark for the first shot and suddenly, I felt a chill run through my body. It was almost as if Padmavati’s soul had entered my body. That feeling still lingers and will continue for years to come,” DNA quoted Deepika as saying.

Slated to release on December 1, the film also stars Shahid Kapoor (Maharawal Ratan Singh), Ranveer Singh (Sultan Alauddin Khilji), Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh and Raza Murad.
