Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, Padmavati depicts one of the most overwhelming chapters in Indian history.

Like all those who were amazed by Bhansali’s sheer brilliance and craftsmanship, Rajamouli too had something to say after watching the trailer.

Rajamouli tweeted: “Insanely beautiful !!! Each frame etched to perfection by the master craftsman. #PadmavatiTrailer (sic).”

Deepika personified elegance and grace as Rani Padmini while Shahid as Maharawal Ratan Singh exhibited valour that Rajputs are admired for. And Ranveer as Sultan Alauddin Khilji sent shivers down the spine in a never-seen-before avatar.

As expected, the trailer was an absolute visual delight. Bhansali has mastered the art of producing paintings in motion and Padmavati testifies his passion for this kind of an arm form.

SS Rajamouli, who belongs to the same school of thought had created a similar magic when the first part of this magnum opus – Baahubali: The Beginning released in 2015. The film went on to become a sensation of sorts across the country but it is the second half – Baahubali: The Conclusion – that ended up taking the worldwide Box Office by storm.

And Bhansali’s Padmavati too has the potential to rake in the moolah.

Slated to release on December 1, Padmavati also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh and Raza Murad in pivotal roles.
