Ranveer essays the role of Sultan Alauddin Khilji in the magnum opus. Ranveer didn’t have a single dialogue in the trailer yet he sent shivers down the spine solely by his gripping performance. His body language, his mannerisms and expressions as the Sultan were impeccable and he ended up stealing the thunder from his co-stars Deepika and Shahid.
Deepika essays Rani Padmini, wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid).
The actress, who essays the role of a Rajput Queen, too took to Twitter to thank the audiences for the love and admiration.
Here’s what she tweeted:
“And as this day comes to an end,I cannot even begin to express the gratitude and joy I feel today! (2/2)I sometimes wonder,’what have I done to deserve so much love and appreciation’..and while I seek, all I can say is a big big Thank You!”
