As fans and moviegoers eagerly wait for the film to hit the silverscreen, here`s taking a look at some of the reasons that make `Rangoon` a must watch.
Mumbai: Vishal Bhardwaj, best known for narrating William Shakespeare’s works on celluloid, is back and how! The ace filmmaker-music composer, for a change, has directed a love-triangle which promises to be a healthy belnd of all kinds of emotions. And to produce this labour of love, he brought his blue-eyed boy Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut together for the first time.
The film is just a couple of days away from its release. And as fans and moviegoers eagerly wait for the film to hit the silverscreen, here’s taking a look at some of the reasons that make ‘Rangoon’ a must watch:
Stellar star cast
Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut make a lethal combination. Each of them has proved their versatility and acting genious on more than one occasion. And now that they are coming together for the first time for a film such as this, we are sure they will create wonders like never before.
Vishal Bhardwaj
This ace filmmaker has a number of intellectually impressive and commercially successful films in his kitty. From ‘Makdee’ to ‘Maqbool’, ‘Omkara’ to ‘Kaminey’, ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ to ‘Haider’, Bharadwaj has outshone himself as a director. Going by the kind of work he has done in the past, it will certainly be interesting to see what he has in store for us in ‘Rangoon’.
On-screen chemistry of Kangana – Said and Kangana – Shahid
Kangana’s chemistry with Shahid has set the temperature soaring. The teaser and promo videos of the film showed ample glimpses of their on screen equation. They look undeniably gorgeous together. Interestingly, Kangana’s chemistry with Saif took has a certain kind of freshness. Given the fact that the curly-haired lady had never been paired opposite these two men before, she does look insanely good with both of them.
Backdrop
The trailer of the film clearly suggested that the film is set in India in the 1940s. Unlike a typical love triangle, which often only deals with emotions of the characters involved in the relationship, ‘Rangoon’ has events of World War II and India’s freedom struggle movement in the backdrop. Will these two major historic episodes be an integral part of the narrative? Let’s wait and watch.
Music
There are as many as 12 songs in Rangoon! The film isn’t a musical but is a melodious treat for sure. The sound tracks of the film composed by Bhardwaj have already become a hit. Going by Bhardwaj’s love or music, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that songs in his films often help in taking the narrative forward.
