Shahid Kapoor - Imtiaz Ali all set to spin Jab We Met magic again
Finally, Imtiaz will be back with Shahid for a film and we hope it is going to be even better than Jab We Met.
Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor and cast an indelible impact with his performance in Imtaiz Ali’s Jab We Met co-starring his then real-life girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in 2007. The film went on to become a massive hit, but sadly we couldn’t see Shahid in any other Imtiaz directorial.
But here’s good news. According to a report in DNA, Shahid has teamed with the ‘Highway’ filmmaker for an untitled project which is scheduled to go on floors in April next year. Some portions of the film will also be shot abroad.
After Jab We Met, Imtiaz collaborated with Saif Ali Khan for Love Aaj Kal (2009); Ranbir Kapoor for Rockstar (2011); Cocktail (2012) with Saif again; Highway (2014) with Randeep Hooda; Tamasha (2015) with Ranbir again; and Shah Rukh Khan for Jab Harry Met Sally (2017).
Finally, he will be back with Shahid and we hope it is going to be even better than Jab We Met.
At the moment, Shahid is awaiting the release of his first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In Padmavati, he essays Rajput warrior Maharawal Ratan Singh.
After Padmavati, he teamed up with Shree Narayan Singh, director of Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha for a film titled Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
In the film, the 36-old-actor will play a lawyer in the movie which focuses on the issue of highly priced electricity bills, a common problem for the citizens.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu, light-hearted social drama jointly produced by KriArj Entertainment and T Series is slated to hit the silverscreen on August 31, 2018.
