New Triumph Bonneville T100 to be launched in India on Oct 18
Triumph Motorcycles India has sent us an invitation for a new product launch on October 18, 2016.
Triumph Motorcycles India has sent us an invitation for a new product launch on October 18, 2016. We believe that the upcoming motorcycle is none other than the new Bonneville T100.
The previous model of the bike was discontinued a few months ago after the launch of the new Street Twin and the Bonneville T120. Recently, Triumph unveiled the new model of the T100 along with the Street Cup cafe racer at the 2016 INTERMOT in Cologne, Germany.
Interestingly, the new Bonneville T100 gets the powertrain from the Street Twin while the frame from the bigger Bonneville T120. And the bike is expected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
The Triumph Bonneville T120 is a modern classic bike which is inspired by the legendary 59 Bonneville. Powering the bike is the 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 55PS at 5,900rpm and delivers a peak torque of 80Nm at just 3,230rpm. The the new T100 was unveiled in two trim options - Standard and Black - but we believe that India will only get the prior one.
The bike shares all the electronic gadgetry with its elder sibling, the T120, including the traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and engine immobiliser. ABS is a standard feature on the T100 and it also gets an LED tail lamp. As per the company, the seat has been made out of a deeper foam that is claimed to provide better comfort on long journeys.
The new Triumph T100 could be made available in two dual-tone colour options -- Fusion White/Aegean Blue and New England White/Intense Orange. Moreover, Triumph will offer 150 official accessories to customise the motorcycle as per the buyer’s needs.
