New Delhi: Tata Motors on Tuesday launched a more powerful variant of its sports utility vehicle Safari Storme, powered by a new engine, at a starting price of Rs 13.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The vehicle, which comes with a new 2.2 litre Varicor 400 engine, is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 drive options, priced at Rs 13.25 lakh and Rs 14.59 lakh, respectively.


The new variant comes with enhanced power and a new six-speed manual gearbox with a self-adjusting clutch for better performance.


"We at Tata Motors are delighted with the launch of a new more powerful variant of the Safari Storme -the Safari Storme VX," Tata Motors President-Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Mayank Pareek said in a statement.


With superior on-road and off-road capabilities, the new variant of the Safari Storme will further exemplify the excitement and performance quotient of the SUV, he added.
