New Delhi: German auto major Volkswagen will unveil three new products, including its sub-4 metre compact sedan which has been designed specifically for the Indian market, at the Delhi Auto Expo next month.

Besides, the company will be showcasing its premier sports utility vehicle Tiguan and sedan Passat GTE at the 13th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo, Volkswagen India said in a statement.


The 2016 Delhi Auto Expo will be held from February 5-9.


"The Indian Compact Sedan, our made-in-India and made-for-India carline, is a truly special offering from the Volkswagen stable with all the brand values of best in class safety features, build quality and a great driving experience, and is expected to be a game-changer for us," Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said.


The sub-4 metre compact sedan has been designed specifically for the Indian market and is manufactured at the Volkswagen facility in Chakan, Maharashtra.


The premium SUV Tiguan is another highly anticipated product being showcased, keeping in mind the accelerated growth of the segment, he added.


"We will also be introducing the new Passat to the Indian market in 2016. Through the showcase of Passat GTE - we have an opportunity to highlight Volkswagen's environmentally responsible plug-in hybrid technology," Mayer said.


With this dynamic product offering, the company would also like to re-iterate its firm commitment to the Indian consumer, he added.


Volkswagen currently sells the Polo, Vento, Jetta and Beetle in India.
