Extending its Galaxy range of smartphones, South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung has launched the Galaxy Active Neo in Japan.


The highlight of the phone is IP68 certification which means the phone is dust and water-resistant. The phone is also MIL-STD-810G certified, means it is resistant to humidity, rain, transport, solar radiation and thermal shock resistant.


The phone comes at 20,000 Yen, which loosely translates into Rs 10,000. There is no word on the launch of this phone in India however news of its early global launch is doing the rounds.


The Samsung Galaxy Active Neo sports a 4.5-inch WVGA with a screen resolution of 480x800 pixels. It has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Android 5.1 Lollipop running smartphone is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It has2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front shutter.
