Thin seems to be in at CES this year, with Samsung debuting a pair of new tablets and notebooks which are vaunted for being ultra-lightweight.

First, the Samsung Notebook 9 series is a 13.3-inch device that weighs in at less than 1 kg (2.2 lbs). The notebook is also available as a 15-inch laptop.


Next, the South Korean tech giant also released the Galaxy TabPro S, a tablet with full PC functionality, pre-loaded with Windows 10.


At 6.3 mm and 693 g, the device is likewise designed to be lightweight and portable.


The tablet also comes with a full-sized detachable keyboard.


Both devices will be available early this year.


Also at CES, HP introduced a pair of pro 12.5 and 14-inch EliteBook notebooks which are also being pitched as the thinnest and lightest of their kind.
