New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker LeEco on Tuesday sold a whopping 70,000 units of its Le1s smartphones in a flash sale on Indian e-tail major Flipkart, a top company official said.

"We have sold 70,000 phones in two seconds in our first flash sale and are extremely happy about it. I think its a new industry record," company's India chief Atul jain told IANS minutes after the sale ended.


The Le 1s is available for just Rs 10,999 for 32GB variant.


Le 1s features a metal unibody with a 5.5 inch full high definition display, 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has 13-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera.


The phone has a 3,000 mAh battery with fast charging support, which means a 5 minute quick charge can sustain a 3.5 hour talk time.


The device also comes with world's first mirror-surfaced fingerprint scanner with 0.15 second unlock speed and 99.3 percent accuracy, and USB Type-C port. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company's homegrown custom eUi.
