No financial details were disclosed.
New Delhi: Telecom services provider Aircel on Wednesday said it has partnered with IT firm Tech Mahindra to roll out a comprehensive set of Internet-of-Things (IoT) service offerings.
Tech Mahindra will provide the IoT services in association with Aeris Communications, a Silicon Valley-based IoT specialist, a statement said.

IoT is described as a network of inter-connected devices that can be accessed through the Internet.
For instance, with IoT, street lights will automatically go off when they sense no traffic on the roads and consequently, save power. Another application could be a smart band that will automatically alert a physician when body vitals go to abnormal levels.
Aircel intends to launch vertical specific solutions in the IoT space and will cater to requirements for vertical market segments like smart energy, connected vehicle and smart city, among others.
This will help enterprise customers with the ability to predict consumer behaviour and trends, improve customer experience, enhance agility and flexibility, increase safety and access to additional revenue streams.
"Machine to machine (M2M) and IoT are enabling business transformation around the world and is expected to see an unprecedented growth in the Indian Market," Aircel Chief Enterprise Officer Suren Amarasekera said.
The need of the hour for digital enterprises is innovative technologies that would transform the way organisations operate, he added.
"With Tech Mahindra and Aeris, Aircel is well poised to deliver on this through a comprehensive suite of M2M and IoT services," he said.
