New Delhi: HDFC Bank on Thursday reported a 20.15 percent rise in its net profit at Rs 3,238.91 crore for the first quarter ended June 2016.


The country's second-largest private lender had registered a net profit of Rs 3,374 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2016.


Total income during the quarter rose by 17 percent to Rs 19,322.63 crore.


As of June 30, HDFC Bank's gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased marginally to 1.04 percent of gross advances as against 0.95 percent at the end of first quarter of the last fiscal.
Net non-performing assets stood at 0.3 percent of net advances as on June 30.


The stock was trading at Rs 1,229.95, down by 0.17 percent, on BSE.
