Kolkata, May 27: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today remained non-committal on reported moves for disciplinary action against estranged party MP Sudip Bandopadhyay and also about her possible meeting with him to iron out differences. "The matter is pending before the disciplinary committee of the party. I do not interfere in its decision," Banerjee told reporters when asked if Bandopadhhya is likely to be suspended from the party.
The party's working committee, which met here on Saturday, had posed before the disciplinary committee why action should not be taken against Bandopadhyay for his alleged anti-party activities.
Banerjee, sore with Bandopadhyay for allegedly seeking to let her down in the recent Union Cabinet reshuffle by meeting senior BJP leaders ''without her consent'', has left the matter with the party's disciplinary committee.
"I can't answer questions about our party's internal matter,'' she said when asked if there was a possibility of Bandopadhyya meeting her to break the ice. Bureau Report
