14 teams to vie for top honours in all India rugby tourney
Mumbai, Sept 26: Fourteen teams, including reigning champion Bombay Gymkhana and Chennai cheetahs, will vie for honours in the Castle Lager All India and South Asia Rugby tournament to be held here from September 27 to October 04.

Promoters' procam Anil Singh told reporters here today
that the other 12 teams in the fray are Sri Lanka Police,
Orissa, Maharashtra State Police, Young Rugby Club, Delhi
Rugby and Football Club (RFC), Bangalore RFC, Hammers,
Calcutta Police, Greater Bombay Police, Calcutta Cricket and
Football Club (CCFC), Manipur RFC and Magic Bus.
Pramod Khanna of Indian Rugby and Football Union (IRFU)
said the Indian Army, one of the largest and most well disciplined army in the world, has also agreed to soon introduce rugby in some centres and Willy Hetaraka has been appointed its coach by the Asian Rugby and Football Union (ARFU).
"Indian coaches and referees would be attending an IRB level one coaching camp here organised by Jarrad Gallagher (RDM-Asia) of IRB while the Indian team have been invited play in a new tournament called provincial cup in Sri Lanka during the last week of October with Pakistan being the third team", Khanna added.
