Ayodhya, Dec 06: Elaborate security arrangements have been made in this temple town due to Ramjanambhoomi- Babri Masjid demolition anniversary. According to official sources, the city has been divided into seven security zones and fifteen sectors, which will be manned by senior police and civil officials.
About fourteen police checkposts have been set-up at the entry points to the holy city and thorough checking of vehicles and frisking of people would be undertaken to ensure complete law and order, they said.
Additional armed police and one RAF company will be posted at sensitive places sources said.
The dog squad, anti-riots and anti-sabotage outfits will be deployed here at sensitive points, they said.
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called for observing the day as `Shaurya Diwas` or Valour Day and would also hold a `Hindu Sammelan` at Karsevakpuram here. On the other hand Muslims have decided to observe Saturday as a day of mourning and will keep their shops and business establishments closed, president, Ayodhya-Faizabad BMAC, Mohammed Yunus Siddiqui said.
