New Delhi: Next time you plan to take the train from Delhi to Agra, you will be ushered in by a hostess who will present you a rose bud as soft music plays in the background.

Yes, you heard it right! Railways have introduced train hostesses on the just-launched Delhi-Agra Gatiman Express, the first train in India to run at a speed of 160 kmph.

Let's see how the train hostesses are different from air hostess.

Commuters on Gatimaan express will be greeted with roses by the train hostess while on flight, the air-hostess greets you only with a big smile.

Both the train hostess and air hostess serves you food. On Gatimaan express too, like flight, both Indian and continental cuisine will be served.

Both the train and air hostesses are skilled with proficiency in English and Hindi so that they can assist the passengers in the best possible way.

Both the hostesses have basic etiquette training.

While train hostesses will be provided by a private agency that will be assigned the catering on the train, air hostesses or in-flight attendants are very much the employees of airlines.
