New Delhi: Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe attended the Business Leaders Forum with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that began on Saturday and reiterated Japan's commitment to contribute to India's Make in India programme, keeping economic cooperation in the forefront.


PM Abe said that a strong India was in japan's interest.  Praising Modi, he said that PM Modi worked and took policy decisions with the speed of a bullet train, which were not only reliable, but also secure.


While addressing the business leaders from India Prime Minister Modi said India was glad that Japan has set aside a fund for Make in India. Today there is a Make in India movement in Japan with a $12 billion fund, said PM Modi.

He said that India wants to move ahead with its development agenda. Talking of robust manufacturing growth and industrial production, PM Modi said that India is a land of possibilities with excellent human resources & a technological base and Japan has been there at every turning point.


For the first time Japan will buy cars from India. India needs high speed growth in partnership with Japan, and not just high speed train, said PM Modi.
