New York, Sept 16: A pair of new songs, including a cover of Cat Stevens' "The First Cut Is the Deepest," will bolster the track list of "The Very Best of Sheryl Crow," which goes on sale in the United States Nov. 4. The Interscope album will be released Oct. 14 in the U.K. and Oct. 20 internationally.
"First Cut" will be released as a radio single around the time of the album's U.S. release, according to Crow's official Web site (http://www.sherylcrow.com). Previously, a cover of the song by Keith Hampshire reached No. 70 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1973, while Rod Stewart's version made it to No. 21 in 1977.
A video for "First Cut" has been shot with Wayne Isham, who previously directed clips for Crow's "Steve McQueen" and "Soak Up the Sun," both of which are included on "The Very Best."

Along with such early hits as "All I Wanna Do" and "Leaving Las Vegas," the 16-track set will also feature the previously unreleased original song "The Light in Your Eyes."
Additionally, the album includes her duet with Kid Rock, "Picture." The track originally appeared on Rock's 2001 Atlantic album "Cocky." (A commercial single boasting a version of the song with Alison Moorer spent 31 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Sales chart.)

Crow's most recent album, 2002's "C'mon C'mon" (A&M) debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Although not currently on tour, Crow has a handful of shows scheduled in the next month. Along with Billy Joel and Faith Hill, she'll perform Oct. 4 at the Andre Agassi Grand Slam for Children in Las Vegas and Oct. 6 at the Vanity Fair Benefit for Step Up Women's Network with Mya and Deborah Harry. She's also due to appear Oct. 14 at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire. Crow will be back in the U.S. for a Nov. 9 concert as part of the Pace Picante ProRodeo Classic in Dallas.

Crow recently finished filming a cameo role "De-Lovely" in which she performs "Begin the Beguine." The Cole Porter biopic stars Kevin Kline and will also feature cameo performances by Elvis Costello, Diana Krall, Alanis Morissette, Robbie Williams and Vivian Green.
