New Delhi: Starting its third run for the final phase trial, Spanish-made train Talgo on Tuesday departed from Delhi to Mumbai.


The train in this phase is expected to maintain its speed and reach Mumbai at under 12 hours. The train left at 2.45 PM and will aim for its schedule arrival at Mumbai Central at 2.49 AM.


 


Talgo train aims to cut the travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to 12 hours will run at 130 kmph on this trial run.


Presently, the fastest trains on this sector are the Rajdhani Express and August Kranti Rajdhani Express which take around 16 hours to complete the journey.


The Talgo, often referred to as a `semi-bullet train`, comprises nine deluxe coaches, including two executive class, four chair cars, a cafeteria, a power car and a tail-end for the guard, staff and equipment.
