Ahmedabad, Oct 19: The sixth phase of Chief Minister Narendra Modi-led Gujarat ‘Gaurav Yatra’ would begin today from Samlaji temple in Sabarkanta and conclude after three days in Nadiad near Kheda district of Gujarat, party sources said today. State BJP president Rajindersinh Rana would be prominent among those taking part in the yatra, they said. The yatra in a mechanised chariot would pass through various assembly segments in Dahod district before culminating at Nadiad.

The chief minister had floated the idea of the yatra to revive the state`s pride in the wake of the unprecedented criticism of Gujarat following the post-Godhra violence, sources said. The first phase of the yatra had begun amidst controversies on September 8 and has since dominated the socio-political life of the state. Bureau Report
