New Delhi: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday climbed 463 points to close at 24,242 led by banking stocks after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) eased capital requirement rules.


With the markets gaining 1240 points in just two days, this is the best two-day gain in almost seven years.


The sensex had gain 777 points on Tuesday.


Meanwhile the NSE Nifty also surged 146.55 points to end at 7,368, making its biggest two-day gain since March 2015.
