Chennai, Oct 18: The 1360-kg resourcesat satellite, launched from Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota yesterday, would be operational in a week, ISRO chairman Madhavan Nair said here today. He told reporters at Chennai airport that yesterday's launch, the tenth consecutive success from the Indian soil, was a "remarkable one" in ISRO's history.

"The signals sent by the satellite were very good and the satellite would become operational within a week's time," he said, adding the satellite is one of the finest which can help farmers plan their operations.
