New Delhi, Sept 21: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today called on ailing BSP supremo Kanshiram at a private hospital here and wished him speedy recovery. "I met him at the hospital. Shook hands. We have no personal differences," Yadav, who was accompanied by Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh in the 30-minute meeting with his political rival, told reporters.
The SP leader said "there is no bitterness" and he wished quick recovery for the BSP leader. Yadav's party had formed a coalition with BSP in Uttar Pradesh in mid 90's but it fell apart after the later refused to support his SP.
Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani had called on the BSP leader yesterday while Health Minister Sushma Swaraj and Law and Justice and Commerce Minister Arun Jaitley wrote to Kanshiram wishing him speedy recovery, a day after former UP Chief Minister Mayawati praised Congress president Sonia Gandhi for inquiring about his health and said BJP should learn a lesson from her.
