New Delhi: In what may come as a shocker to the users of the e-ticketing portal Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), valuable personal data of millions of customers is feared to have been stolen from the server.
However, there is no official confirmation about the same.
Experts believe that if the news about data hack is true it can result in sale of personal information (mainly email ids and PAN card details) of several customers to corporations.
As per media reports, A K Manocha, Managing Director of IRCTC, has written to Delhi police's cyber cell to inquire into the entire matter related to hacking of IRCTC data.
IRCTC is India's largest e-commerce website, lakhs of transactions are conducted every day.
