Moscow, July 20: A Tupolev TU-154 with 123 persons on board made an emergency landing today in Siberia, in the fourth such incident this week in Russia. A fault was discovered in the third engine of the Krasnoyarsk airlines jet shortly after it took off from Krasnoyarsk airport for Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the Russian far east, Itar-Tass news agency reported. The pilots decided to turn back but thick fog forced them to touch down at Kemerovo airport, 300 kms to the west of Krasnoyarsk. It was at least the fourth incident of its kind since Tuesday when three planes on internal flights had to make emergency landings.
