Srinagar, Sept 09: Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah today visited Kargil sector in the frontier region of Ladakh to take stock of the damages caused by Pakistani shelling.

Abdullah visited Drass this morning where six houses and a school were hit by the shelling from across the border in Zargar Mohalla and Bimhat, an official spokesman said.
The locals apprised the chief minister of the unprovoked shelling and appreciated the assistance rendered by police, the spokesman added. Bureau Report
