The first catch at slip was a special one as he dived to his right and plucked the ball single-handely out of thin air.

Second catch can be branded as the decisive moment of the match as Zimbabwe needed seven runs in four balls. Blignaut was on strike and Sanjay Bangar was bowling the last over for India. The left-hander played an uppish shot to clear the boundary rope but was caught by a running Laxman from mid-wicket, who took a tumbling catch to put the match in India's favour. India won the match by 3 runs.
