The former Indian skipper, who has been under the scanner for his scratchy form in the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, looked in some kind of form during his 25-ball 28. While Dhoni failed to hit a big knock yet again, he certainly gave crowd entertainment worth their money as he hammered one of the biggest sixes in the history of the tournament.

In the 14th over bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal, Dhoni charged down the wicket off the last ball and smashed it high and long over long on for an incredible six.

Twitterati went berserk the moment the shot was played and Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner's reaction showed what an amazing hit it was.

"I just heard a bang on my window!! Was that the ball @msdhoni just hit from Bangalore wow boooooom," Warner tweeted.

The umpires had to call for a new ball as the ball could not be fetched from the roof.

In the same match, Dhoni once again proved why is he regarded as one of the finest wicketkeepers in the game when he bamboozled RCB batsman AB de Villiers with a lightning quick stumping behind the wicket.

AB was batting on 29 off 30 balls, before he was deceived in flight by compatriot Imran Tahir and while he moved slightly outside from the crease, before he could realise, Dhoni had removed the bails.

The experts and the commentators were full of praise for that stumping by Dhoni.

RPS defeated RCB by 27 runs in the 17th match of the season after which they are now ranked sixth in the points table with two wins from five matches.
