New Delhi: The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner on Sunday mauled the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by hitting IPL 10's fastest century.

After losing the toss, the defending champions were asked to bat first. Opening the innings, Warner raced to fifty in twenty balls, then took another 23 balls to reach his first hundred of the season.

His is the fifth fastest hundred, in terms of balls, in the IPL history, after Chris Gayle (30b) in 2013, Yusuf Pathan (37b) in 2010, David Miller (38b) in 2013, Adama Gilchrist in 2008 and AB de Villiers in 2016 (both 42 balls).


The left-handed batsman went onto score 126 off 59 with 10 fours and eight sixes.


The defending champions scored 209.
