19.23 IST: Full points to Roy here for showing maturity and holding his nerve. He doesn't want to get out at this point in the match. So even after defending some good balls, he steps out against Krunal to deposit him way back behind the screen. Then, as Iyer comes on strike, he cuts Krunal for a four to stay afloat in the chase. And then happened what shouldn't have for MI. Mustafiz dropped Iyer twice at third man off Bumrah in the same over. The consequence was that both Roy and Iyer hit him a four each and helped DD inch closer. Mustafiz comes into the attack and bowls very good five balls but drops short a touch to see Iyer swivel and pull for a boundary. Roy was batting on 76 while Iyer was on 26. DD need 16 off 12.

Bumrah comes in for the penultimate over. And has finished brilliantly with a 5-run over. DD need 11 in 6. Can they do it?

Mustafizur to bowl the last over. And Roy tears him to pieces. A cover drive for a four on the first ball and a flick for six at fine-leg. DD one away. Roy batting on 90 and now he seems to be caving in. DD need a single, he has took the match to the last ball. He was beaten thrice by Fiz. Is there a turn waiting to happen? And this time Roy goes for the lift and the ball sails over to take DD over the line. Rohit is frowning. Match is over. DD win by seven wickets.

19.07 IST: The way Delhi had clinched the upper hand, a poor shot by Pant off Krunal Pandya pushed them on the backfoot. Had he shown caution, he could have succeeded in getting as many big hits he would have wanted. Though Glenn Maxwell came in and got 10 off Markande but Krunal bowled intelligently against him and picked him. Hardik took a brilliant catch at wide Long-off and DD were 137/8 in 14 overs. Dananjaya was largely on length but overpitched once to invite Shreyas Iyer hit a masive six. With Jason Roy still at the other end, DD was in the game. Click here for scores

18.35 IST: Till the time Mustafiz is bowling well for you, the batters aren't going to maintain the momentum. And the way he dries up the runs suddenly, it puts pressure back on the batting side. This time, when he came to bowl the final power play over, he struck immediately as he got Gambhir on the first ball. Gambhir thought he would once again bowl the cutter as he held the ball cross seamed. But at the last moment, as Gambhir readied for the pull, he bent his back hard and surprised Gambhir with the bounce. The ball hurried on to him and hit the splice of his bat to lob at the mid-wicket. OUT!!!

In the next over, purple cap holder Mayank Markande but it looks like he was having an off day. Offered a lot of width to Rishabh Pant and he scored two boundaries. Then in the ninth over, Pant pummelled him for two fours and a six. Rishabh Pant was now taking on the offensive and treated Dananjaya the same way as Markande. Only that the order of boundaries was reversed. Two sixes and a four and mind you those sixes should fetch a team at least 8 runs. Monstrous hits those. Two good overs have brought DD in. They are on course for the chase of 195. DD were 104/1 in 10 overs. Click here for scores

18.16 IST: DD innings is underway. Right from the dugout, DD know they have to have a fiery start. MI bowlers know DD batters will go after them and the challenge is to stick to a nagging length. The moment you veer off DD will pounce on the opportunity. Jason Roy got a cover drive for four and then later Gambhir was offered width on the leg, he clipped it to perfection. Hardik Pandya gave away 11. Good Start for DD. Akila Dananjaya took the ball and Roy showed him his place. A sixer and a four was enough to get him off the bowling. DD were 23/0 in 2 overs.

Then Jasprit Bumrah and Mustafizur once again proved why they are the most loved bowlers in this format. Give 6 runs in the next two overs. That's a huge brake for DD. They were great with length, on the fourth stump, top of off and mixing their pace well. You think, DD have veered off again but till the time Roy is batting, DD will always get the upper hand. Ask Hardik and he will attest to it. Because his second over was milked for 21 runs, including 2 sixes and 2 boundaries. He is startled with Roy's onslaught. DD are ecstatic to see him going. DD were 50/0 in five overs. Click here for scores

17.49 IST: Reaching 200 looked very much possible even though Kishan had just departed. But the DD bowlers came strong in the last five overs and varied their pace beautifully to restrict MI below 200. Boult, Shami both were expensive in their spells but shared three wickets in the last five overs to put brakes on MI's scoring. Still MI reached a strong total at the Wankhede and DD will have to put on a strong start to scale that total down. Click here for scores

17.17 IST: Rahul Tewatia got both Lewis and Suryakumar Yadav. The local guy went back on 51. Then came Rohit and Ishan Kishan, who continued the MI onslaught with an aim to finish strong. Ishan Kishan was the prolific of the two as he took his chances, picked his spot well and launched the attack. Rohit was playing second fiddle but Ishan looked in devastating mood. He hammered Shami, took 19 off Tewatia's over, which included a switch hit for a six. Then having cruised to 44 in just 23 balls, Kishan got a little over excited and tried another switch hit against Cristian only to lose his timber. MI had lost their third wicket and had reached 158/2 in 15 overs. Click here for scores.

16.18 IST: First things first. Rohit Sharma has demoted him in the batting order and has pushed local lad Suryakumar Yadav alongside Ewin Lewis in the opening slot. Dan Christian and Jason Roy in for Chris Miorris and Colin Munro for DD. As much as MI were hoping for a rousing start, DD were expecting the bowlers to control the run-flow. But Delhi is having a nightmarish start as Trent Boult began poorly, overpitching to Yadav and then bowling short against Lewis. He was hit for a couple of boundaries in the first over.

With Nadeem coming in, there was a chance straight up as Lewis went for the slog sweep and the ball climbed high in the sky. Glenn Maxwell misjudged the catch, fluffed it and also conceded a four. That was the last time Delhi came close to landing a blow to MI. After that, it was stick for DD. Suryakumar Yadav and Lewis have made sure they have punished every ball that has been asking for punishment. And with this MI couldn't have hoped for a better start than this. This is pure entertainment for the crowd. On the other hand, DD bowlers have been bowling rubbishly on a good batting wicket. Mohammed Shami has been out of form while Dan Christian too has got the stick. Looks like they are already missing Morris, who could easily bowl a lot of yorkers. But DD has also brought in their spinners quite late here. Once the pacers were going for runs, Gambhir should have brought in the spinners. By the way, Nadeem hasn't lived up to his billing so far with the new ball, if you consider him a spinner that is. In the ninth over, Rahul Tewatia got Lewis as the Caribbean hold out on 48. OUT!!! But MI were cruising for a big total here. They were 109/1 in 10 overs. Click her for scores.

New Delhi: Hello and welcome to zeenews.com. Today we bring to you the updates from the IPL match between MI and DD. The two teams have played two games each and haven't tasted success yet. Delhi is sitting at the bottom of the table while Mumbai is a place above on better run-rate. Though the hosts Mumbai lost close encounters, Delhi, on the other hand, could have got the first win at Jaipur but the rain-truncated game meant that the Duckworth Lewis method came into effect. Delhi were given an uphill climb -- 71 in 6 overs -- and poor approach coast them the game by ten runs.

Mumbai, going by the IPL history have been slow starters and it is nothing surprising that they have started the way they have this season. The biggest worry is the form of Rohit Sharma, who has shown glimpses but failed to capitalised on the starts. A good thing for the hosts has been the strong middle order that has taken them to a safe score every time giving the bowlers something to defend. From the bowling department, leg-spinner Mayank Markande has been in prolific form as he is the purple cap holder with 7 scalps to his name. He has been bamboozling the opposition with his well-disguised googlies and brought MI back against SRH. And then is the combination of Jasprit Bumrah and Mustafizur Rahman, holding well together at the death.

Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir is leading from the front as he has taken the responsibility to handle the batting department. On Saturday, he will be expected to get runs under his belt as that will ensure a platform for Delhi toward setting a big total.
