Mohammad Amir`s swing-bowling master-class with pink ball - WATCH
Amir took three wickets, conceding only five runs, in his first seven overs.
New Delhi: Sensational Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir delivered a swing-bowling masterclass with the pink ball during their practice match against a Cricket Australia XI side Cairns.
After winning the toss, Pakistan batted first and posted 208 in their first innings with veteran Younis Khan top scoring with 54. For the hosts, 22-year-old Cameron Valente took four wickets in an impressive display of pace bowling.
But they were in for a master-class. Amir, 24, often regarded as one of the most gifted pacers in the world, took three wickets, including two of first two balls, in his first seven overs spell.
Five of those overs were maiden. A first ball wicket to remove Jimmy Peirson, then another wicket off the very next ball.
If the first wicket was a classic inswinger delivery, the second wicket was an unplayable one. His William Bosito had no clue.
Amir returned to take the wicket of Ryan Lees in the third over to reduce CA Xi to 4/3 inside the third over.
