After surging through the ranks under Sourav Ganguly, the star left-hander maintained a stranglehold over his batting position during the MS Dhoni years.

While Dada was a mentor to Yuvi, Mahi was more like a friend.

Despite reports of a rift, Dhoni and Yuvi have always appeared comfortable with each other on the field and in public.

While Yuvraj's father Yograj has publicly attacked Dhoni, the Punjab batsman never voiced any concerns about playing under Dhoni.

Recently on a Radio Mirchi show, Yuvi was once again faced with a similar question.

Who between Dhoni and Ganguly was the better skipper?

Without being diplomatic and politically correct, Yuvraj offered a swift reply.

“I started my career under Sourav and I think he is the one who put this team together and supported players like myself, Ashish (Nehra), (Virender) Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan (Singh). So probably he would be the best captain,” said Yuvi.

This answer will hardly come as a surprise to Indian cricket fans.

Not just Yuvraj, but Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag too have stated the same several times before.
