The relations between the two nations have hit an absolute low since Pakistani militants-led attack killed 19 Indian soldiers in Uri.

In response to the Uri attack, Indian army had conducted a surgical strike 2 kms across the LoC, reportedly damaging as many as seven terrorist camps and 50 terrorist.

Since then forces across the Indo-Pak border have been alerted and number of ceasefire violations have been witnessed. (WATCH: Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad calls for ALL OUT ATTACK on India following surgical strikes across LoC)

While the on-field battle at the Indo-Pak border was still expected, a rather surprising war of words from some of the renowned personalities in Pakistan have also started.

Javed Miandad, who had earlier suggested his nation's army to conduct an all-out attack on India, has now publicly criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In an interview with Samaa TV of Paksitan, Miandad said-

  • "I want to tell the people of India that there are some people in your country who can get you killed. You should come together and unite against such people."

  • "I have travelled a lot in India during my cricketing days. I know that the general public is not like that."

  • "But there are people like Narendra Modi, who is an egg. An egg who doesn't know about his father or mother."

  • "He doesn't know who is he threatening. We are ready for war. We are ready for martyrdom. Every Pakistani, even every child is ready to fight and die for this holy war. They (referring to India) are cowards, they have no army, nothing."

The reporter also responded at the end stating, "Rightly said, Miandad Sahab, a single sixer by you is enough for them" (READ: Anurag Thakur gives befitting response to Javed Miandad's rant against India)
