The Thiruvananthapuram MP was in fact the first Indian leader to take to social micro-blogging site Twitter.

That experience perhaps comes in handy for Tharoor as he keeps his fans and followers regularly updated about the work he does in his constituency.

On Friday however, the Congressman indulged in a bit of Twitter banter.

The 60-year-old made use of the ongoing Virender Sehwag-Piers Morgan Twitter feud to kill two birds with one stone.

Replying to a classic from Twitter king Viru, Tharoor trolled not just the controversial British journalist but also Arnab Goswami.

Well played, Mr Tharoor!
