Independence Day is a national festival for Indians and we commemorate it with a lot of passion, pride and enthusiasm. We honour the fighters who sacrificed their lives to strive for independence from the more than 200 years of British rule.   • On August 15, 1947, India formally ended British rule.
  • India has completed 75 years of Independence, which gave the Indian Constituent Legislative Authority.

  • People born after Independence in a liberated India must appreciate the cost of our freedom warrior’s sacrifice who relentlessly struggled to liberate our motherland from colonial rule.
  • Mahatma Gandhi sought freedom from the injustice that long imprisoned our society. A non-violent liberation martyr like him has set an example for us to carry forward in our daily lives.
